Training Plans
Training sessions for students (grades eight and nine) will be
conducted at eight schools across four locations by the Project
Dareecha team. For each school, at least 16 students nominated
by the school will attend the training sessions.
Teachers nominated from the schools will receive training
before the training sessions for students start, so they are
prepared to assist the Project Dareecha trainers during the
training sessions, and are also equipped to continue student
training when the Project Dareecha team is not available on
location.
There will be three five-day training sessions for students at
each school, conducted by the Project Dareecha team with the
assistance of the trained school teachers. Between and after
the training sessions, the students will be left under the
supervision of the school teachers to continue practicing the
skills they have learnt during training. School teachers will
be provided with additional training material (work plans,
exercises etc.) that can be used during these time periods.

Competency Levels for Students
Competency levels mark the various levels of learning. The competency levels follow a
step-by-step approach towards learning new concepts. Starting from beginner’s level,
the level of difficulty increases with each level. Competency levels enable us to devise
lecture plans for students and later, assessments are also designed on the basis of
these competency levels. Under each level, the relative concepts are mentioned and
this makes teaching and evaluation easier.
